How to get trough finals week?!?

Hey guys, I know this has been a long time. I think you're getting bored of this excuse but schoolwork has me working so hard latlely, but now finals week is coming? My finals take like two weeks with everyday of school at least 1 test, so I need to be prepared and I thought why not help out others? So here are some tips to get trough finals week!

Tip 1: organizing

My first tip is an easy one make a planner and first off write down when your finals are and then start planning your study periods and also make time for some breaks.

Tip 2: eat

The second tip is one that we all love to do: eat. There are some foods that are great for your brain and improve your brain to remember I prefer chocolate, blue berries and nuts. The chocolate isn't healty but stimulates some parts of your brain to remember and the rest is just healthy for your body and mind. And antother thing to do whilest studying is chew some chewing gum in a specific flavour and right before your examen chew the same flavor, your brain then associates that flavor with the things you learned and makes you remember them better.

Tip 3: study place

The third tip is to find a good study place. Personally I prefer to study in my living room, I know that there are a lot of distractions there but I give myself a goal, like a specific chapter I need to get done before I take a break and my parents know that so they can tell me to stay focused. And to get away from those distractions I let play some music that helps me calm down and stay focused. 

Tip 4: breaks

The fourth one is one we all look forward to once we start studying, it's taking a break. I plan my breaks every half hour, and don't study for longer than 50 minutes because our brain can't focus at one thing for more than an hour (that's also why the periods at school are only 50 minutes (well at least where I live)). When you take a break go outside, if you have a pool take a swim, go for a walk, let your dog out if you have one, do the dishes (if you don't have a dishwasher like me) so something completely else than what you were working on. 

Tip 5: exercise

If you have an exam coming up with a lot of exercises, you should write down exercises from your textbook and remake them, this is my ultimate tip, if I wouldn't do this I would never get trough my accountancy, maths or informatics. The day before my informatics exam I am sitting the whole afternoon behind my computer remaking old exercices from the begining of the schoolyear 'cause they still ask those things on your final exams.

Tip 6: the internet

oh yes you read it correctly, use the internet! You can use the site 'Quizlet' which is an amazing site where you can create online flashcards and you can learn everything by playing games, and making online tests, it just a lot of fun and I use it a lot for my tests and it very handy if you have a big vocabulary test coming up. And another tip is if you need to look something up for your finals don't use the usual Google but use Google schoolar, it will give you more internet pages used for students and give you pages with an easy explanation.

Tip 7: notes

Of course you can not get trough finals in a decent way if you didn't take notes during the school year. Of course you can make copies of people that did took notes but not everyone wants to lend there notes so take notes yourself! And another thing HIGHLIGHT the most important things, I need to admit I did sometimes highlight a complete page, but seriously not the best idea. You just need to highlight the most important things like defenitions, formula's etc.

Tip 8: music

The most people say that it's not good to listen to music whilest you're studying,but that's wrong. It just depends on what kind of music you're listening. It's indeed not good to listen to music with lyrics if you're studying especially when you're studying for your English, French, Spanish or whatever languauge that you learn exam. My tip is to go to Study Music Project for music to listen to whilest you're studying.

Just like all the other I found these two guys when I was watching first auditions of the X-Factor. I think the reason why I keep watching their preformances, and the reason why I was so touched and why I want everyone to support them is because they lost both their parents by the time they were 11 years old. They lost their mom to breast cancer when they were 8 years, and they lost their dad in a fire when they were 11. And some might wonder from where the band name comes, welll it's the middle name of their mother.

But this guy has something something special, I watched a lot of auditions but I never saw an audition before that a guy from the UK goes to audition in Australia for the X-Factor (he moved from the UK to Australia,because he was tired of the bad wheater). But when they said 'Reece .. I just like to thank your mom and dad for moving to Australia, you "for me" have the X-Factor'    well they weren't wrong!

So some of you might know her but like almost every artist I'm going recommend

Tuesday

So I know today is Wednesday, but I still need to tell you all about yesterday. The third and also last day of our huge party, and in the afternoon every man that was there dressed up like a woman walked a little parade and every year I think it's amazing and it's such a tradition there even was a little boy of four years old walking the parade with his granddad dresses up like a woman. And I think this is such a special thing, I can't name any other place on the planet where the men can dress up like women for three days with no shame. And than ofcourse in the evening there was the burning of the puppet that was made and specially this year we first had 30 seconds of silence (which was pretty hard with more than 3000 people) because two men found a woman that was murdered yesterday morning and out of respect we had 30 seconds of silence. And after that the Prince that was the major of our city during those three days sang a couple of his songs before putting fire to the puppet, and just like every year we all cried and screamed, and sang toghether with our Prince and during our city anthem. Anyways much love 

Monday

so today is the second day of our huge party. And again it was awesome. Tomorrow is the saddest day for all of us, cause it is the last day and we all cry cause it's over and then we need to wait another year. But we all have so much fun with preparing for the party. All the groups that are in the parade put so much work in their costumes and everything else. But I'm going further with partying. Much love ♡♥♡♥

Sunday

So like I said I would try to update about the parade. I need to say it was wonderfull. I look forward to this a whole year I even cried yesterday evening because I was so happy it was almost there. And right now I'm at a quiet place so O can update but I need to say I'm not used to updating via my phone so I'm going to keep it short. In a couple of days I'm going to put all my pictures on my Google account so you can see them there. Anyways I'm going backl to the fun. I love you all because you keep reading my bullshit. ♡♥♡♥♡♥∞

update

So I didn't update yesterday. But I'll try to update tomorrow. But it won't be my new concept. Tomorrow and the two days after there is a huge parade at my city, and I'm kind of stressing 'cause I'm obsesed with it and I seriously live for it. I look forward to those three days a whole year. All the groups (in total around 80) that have a wagon for in the parade are working at it for months. Their costumes are amazing. I actually walked in the parade last year and it was amazing seeing all those people standing there just watching all the work you did and respect how much you did for them just to give them and everyone else thos amazing few days, is just unbelievable. So that's where I'm going to be the next three days and I'm going to take some amzing pictures and I'll share them with you. I'm so sorry but because I'm stressing I just couldn't keep focused.

Hey y'all!

So I'm a big Gleek and I'm proud of it and I wonder are you Gleeks as well???? So the new season started the 9th of January and today is the fourth episode coming out and I can't wait to see it, even though I need to wait 'till tomorrow 'cause when it comes out in America it's like in the middle of the night here so I'll be sleeping by then :(

But seriously what is wrong with Blaine??? He could have any guy and than he chooses Korofsky? Why?????? It's not that I don't ship them but seriously, you can see it at his face that he misses Kurt I understand but why doesn't he get a break! Like he misses Kurt, is together with Dave, just moved in with Dave, is coach of the Warblers!!!!!! Get a break boy!!!

And now Santana and Britanny! They are so cute together 'cause no mather what they do like give their relationship a rest they still end up togehter it really show that they are meant to be and I love it that Santana had the guts to ask Brit to marry her! Now we just have to wait 'till the wedding!!!

Hey y'all!

So, last week my teacher of religion asked us to make a task for tomorrow. We need to find an song (with lyrics), a poem or text and a picture or painting. In what we find comfort. So that comforts us when we're sad, and I don't know why but I wanted to share it with you. Cause we all have somethings that we find comforting and that one special song that we listen to when we feel sad en makes us feel beter immidiately. And I wanted to share mine with you. So here it goes!

This was actually the hardest cause I listen to all kinds of music and I don't really know which song I needed to pick and I actually found two, but I'll only share one with you 'cause the first one is a song that's sung in our dialect form my city so you won't understand, sometimes even people from my own country don't understand it.

It's a song from before I was born, but what makes it comforting for me is that it reminds of me of me and my family going out camping and I love it and it's that time of the year when we're there that seems for me like my life is perfect, siting there around the fire and singing songs (like this one).

I chose this text because there was a time in my life that I didn't want to live anymore 'cause I got bullied a lot. And this text makes me realize that everyone lives for a reason and it just makes me believe that I'm worth something and that I'm not a waste of time or space.

Hey, so this is a very short post 'cause it's like 11PM where I live but I didn't want to go to bed before I posted something xp

Reading challenge

Hey, it's not so long ago that I talked to you trough thiss magical place called the internet. But enough bullshit I'm going to talk to you this time about my own personal reading challenge.

So I gave myself a challenge this year to read a few books and I wanted to go trough them with you.

The first books I want to read is the Divergent series so starting with Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant and to close it off the book about Four.

Then I want to read The Mortal Instruments so starting with City Of Bones, City Of Ashes, City Of Glass, City Of Fallen Angels, City Of Lost Souls & City Of Heavenly Fire.

Then I want to read the Vampire Academy series. So Vampire Academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss,  Blood Promise, Spirit Bound & Last Sacrifice.

So three series and already sixteen books I want to read this year but that's not all but I'm doubting about the next serie

So I also want to read the Percy Jackson series. That are five books, The Lighting Thief, The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's curse, The Battle of the labyrinth and The last olympian.

And next I'm thinking about reading a few books of Agatha Christie. So if you have more suggestions for me to read tweet me!

My bestfriends B-Day present

So in 10 days it's the Birthday of my bestfriend and I allready have her present and I wanted to show you what I got her! So here it goes!

I'm going to start with the outside. I just found a box that's not too big and I putted a bunch of post-its on it with memories we have together.

 Then I made her two IPhone cases. One with the Okay?Okay. clouds from TFIOS and one with the first letter of her name.

Then I got her two nail polishes from Catrice. nr. 50 Glitterazzi and nr. 55 Get the Blues

I also got her a candle with Lavender scent.

Two glossy lipbalms from Essence. The Cherry Brownie and Raspberry Cupcake.

  Two pair of earings. One with skulls and one just rings.

And for the finish I made her a bookmark.

I hope she will be happy with it. And if you wonder why the OKAY and John Green is here so much it's because she took me the movie and thanks to her I started reading the books of John Green. I also hope that you got a few ideas for presents for friends or family and I will leave a link of how I made the bookmark.
